Web application
for psychological tests
About the client
FOCUS is a training organization based on mental training and new approaches in psychology. Today FOCUS brings together many experts in business, sports, the arts, and scientific research.
Task
The goal was to develop a web application for conducting psychological tests and collecting results. It was essential to create a platform where different types of people could test themselves to find out where they are in terms of psychology.
It had to be a user-friendly platform with calculation formulas and a simple interface.
Also noteworthy was the task of providing user-friendly content management, creating new tests on the site, editing questions, and managing the resulting questionnaires.
What we have done:
- Analyzed the first version of the client’s program to identify strengths and weaknesses;
- Developed a portrait of the target audience to determine their needs;
- Developed a unique and impressive design;
- Thought out scenarios of navigation, block animation;
- Implemented support for mobile devices;
- Implemented a system of calculation for the test;
- During the development, we used modern technologies to ensure the fast operation of the site and implemented a convenient management system.

First, we paid attention to the calculation system so that the tests worked correctly and prepared the project’s architecture.
You can start working on the test after filling out the questionnaire. Data from the questionnaire must come in the admin panel, as well as in the CRM system of the client, based on the solution ActiveCampaign. To do this, you will use the official API and send the list of data marked by the client.
A bright color scheme using the Emoji was chosen to emphasize the exclusivity and premium product.
We paid particular attention to adaptation for mobile devices, as most of the traffic was expected from mobile devices.
We developed an Email notification system for getting the results to the user’s email and generating the results in PDF format.

Main page
For rendering the main page, we decided to use the navigation in the form of significant navigation elements. The main page has three main entry points for each test. For convenience, the first screen has an “anchor” button, which, when clicked, takes the user immediately to select the desired test.
At the top, there is a menu where you can select the desired test.

It was essential for the client to collect data about users taking the test. For this, we have developed a form with large fields for comfortable entry of personal data and a choice of mandatory criteria in the list.

The test page contains many questions. An important task was providing data and making it easy to select the answers on the page on mobile and desktop devices.
